Miskatonic Bookworm Monster

$250.00

This listing is for your very own pet Miskatonic Bookworm!

They will be available in very limited quantities because of the amount of work that goes into producing just one of these sculptures.

PLEASE NOTE: The one in the pictures has been sold, but I can cast you up your very own and paint it in the color scheme of your choice. I can also pose the tentacles any way you’d like as well. Please note they are not poseable except by me heatbending them when I first create the piece. Please message me for a custom order if you’d like a different paint scheme please.

I discovered this new species on an excursion to the wonderful library at Miskatonic University. Found this little guy draining the information straight off the pages using those tentacle/feelers. The pages from the books it had been feeding on were totally blank… Needless to say, I’m being very careful to keep him out of our personal library. I did bring back a few chrysalis of this species as well, which I will show you all soon and am eager to see what the adult form of this remarkable species looks like! Taking advance orders on the first hatchlings for those of you brave enough to keep such an exotic specimen.

The body of the worm is 6 inches long, 3 inches wide and with the spines along the back the piece will be around 6 – 7 inches in height. Depending upon how the tentacles are posed will determine how much space the piece will take up.

The little feet spikes and teeth are made from a slightly flexible epoxy and are very durable. The spines are the quills from chicken feathers and I dip them in resin to make them extremely strong and flexible. This is a very durable piece and will ship easily to any country. Because of the high degree of labor involved in producing these pieces, the price is a bit higher than the 2 other species of bookworm that I’ll be adding later this year.
